The Year Long Journey! Welcome to the OFFICIAL website of The Year Long Journey! What is ‘The Year Long Journey’? It is a tale of wonder and bravery, kings and swordsmen, Gelsdwats and goblins, adventure and really good food! So, what is a Gelsdwat? What is a Giggleberry? Who is Jacket Nibbington and where does he live? That is what this will answer. A Gelsdwat is a person who is only two centimetres in height and loves cake. A Giggleberry is a berry that de-evolved from some ort of talking monkey, but kept the laughing ability. And honestly, I don’t really know who Jacket Nibbington is, and even if I did, he wouldn’t tell me where he lived! The story takes place in the land of Gedsoldel, and that is a world of magic and wonder. With nine continents, and a tenth separate from the rest, Gedsoldel takes a year and a half to cross on foot and boat and transport.
